Native to Portland, Oregon Sam is passionate about leading people to live a sustainable, strong, healthy lifestyle. His experience competing in the CrossFit Games, USAW Weightlifting Nationals, and numerous sports give him a unique perspective to help others reach their athletic goals. His experience in the military also gives him a unique perspective to help prospective military members train for service. While he's not coaching, he enjoys studying ways to improve his methods to ensure all people he works with receive the best strength and conditioning program possible. Natalie graduated from Florida International University where she received a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. After graduating from school she specialized in orthopedics and completed the Orthopedic Residency Program with Therapeutic Associates. Through her residency she took extensive course work through the North American Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy (NAIOMT), received 120 hours of mentorship from industry-recognized physical therapists, and completed a project on neuromuscular segmental rolling for athletes. After finishing the residency she sat for the Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) board exam and passed in June of 2016. Natalie is passionate about physical therapy and strives to help her patients move better and get stronger. She does her best to utilize up to date evidence based medicine and continues to take courses to increase her skill set.
Natalie is also a coach and personal trainer at StrengthFarm Performance. She coaches a weekly mobility/stability class, and works with young female athletes for the sports performance program.
On her spare time, you can find Natalie working out at StrengthFarm, playing indoor soccer, or hiking. She is a health and wellness enthusiast and encourages everyone to participate in some form of exercise to stay healthy and STRONG.

BETINA GOZO, NIKE MASTER TRAINER
As a Nike Master Trainer, Certified Functional Strength Coach, and Corrective Exercise Specialist, Betina Gozo takes pride in having the knowledge and qualifications along with the energy, positivity and empathy needed to motivate her clients. She has recently been crowned Women's Health Magazine's Next Fitness Star 2017 and is excited to be able to share her passion on a whole new platform!
Betina has worked with a wide variety of clients – from 8 year old athletes all the way to active aging seniors! She is also Functional Movement Systems Certified, so she strives to keep all her clients moving correctly so that they can live long, healthy, and functional lives. She prides herself in being able to empathize with all of her clients and works to serve their best needs. Betina has experience leading groups across the nation with Nike Training Club and has been featured on WGN News, ABC’s Windy City Live, WCIU’s You & Me in the Morning, NBC News, and more as a featured trainer. She has experience teaching a multitude of classes; from high intensity interval training, bootcamp, strength, boxing, and even barre!
She simply wants to promote a happy, healthy lifestyle and lessen the many restrictions burdening our desire to just get started. It takes a certain degree of discipline and serious commitment to achieve personal success, but she is committed to helping her clients reach their individual goals. She assures you that she still indulges and takes days off, but her personal goal will always remain the same… maintain a healthy, functional body while feeling great on a daily basis. She loves to continually challenge herself and her clients…and she will make sure you will have fun while doing it!

Mikel’s goal is for everyone to be able to experience the capacity and capabilities of their bodies. Mikel grew up competing in swimming and cheerleading. Post high school she lost sight of how successful sports and exercise can make you feel. Through suffering with an eating disorder and spending years telling her body how incapable, and not enough it was – CrossFit was the thing that helped remind her of those feelings of success. She walked into a gym full of women doing pull-ups and lifting things heavier than she ever imagined, she saw a room full of humans stoked on what their bodies were able to do. That was the turning point.
She began to see movement and the variety of shapes and sizes as inspiration. We are all shaped to perform and enjoy movement differently. Mikel wants everyone to find ways of moving their bodies that makes them feel inspired. In 2011 Mikel began her journey into wanting to help transform lives. She started coaching classes back home in Florida and through this has had the privilege of working for many wonderful facilities since. She has led multiple 200hr yoga teacher trainings as well as seminars for Kids fitness both in Crossfit and Yoga. She hopes that we can all find the opportunity to celebrate in all that we are and see motivation in all opportunities we have to grow.

Portland native Isaiah Holt approaches training with enthusiasm, motivation, and pushes for personal accountability. His background in strength conditioning as well as competitive bodybuilding gives him a unique perspective on what a body is capable of achieving.

Thaddeus joined the United States Air Force in the summer of 2010. Upon graduation from Basic Training in San Antonio, He was stationed at Fairchild Air Force Base in Spokane, WA; iIt was here he failed his first PT test. Thaddeus decided to never allow that to happen again. A friend forced him to try this crazy new craze called “Crossfit” in his friend's garage and has never looked back. After being stationed in Hawaii in 2015, he met Sage Mertz (Burgener) who inspired him to pursue his weightlifting career.
Thaddeus separated from the United States Air Force June of 2017 to attend Portland State University to further his knowledge on the human body and its potential.
RICHARD GOERLING, MINDFULNESS
Richard is a retired Commander in the United States Coast Guard Reserve and an active law enforcement officer in Oregon. He completed the year-long facilitator training at UCLA's Mindful Awareness Research Center (MARC) under the direction of Diana Winston, Dr. Susan Smalley, and Dr. Marvin Belzer. He is an Affiliate Associate Professor at the Graduate School of Professional Psychology at Pacific University and is currently a co-investigator and trainer in a National Institute of Health funded research projects training mindfulness to police officers.
Richard is a regular speaker on mindfulness & resiliency in policing and cultural transformation toward an authentic, compassionate Warrior ethos. Richard participates with multi-disciplinary teams that explore mindfulness, restorative justice, tribal council and other holistic approaches to healing & community building. Additionally, Richard is active in developing policing and community practices that effectively meet the needs of returning veterans and those with acute mental illness. EMMA STARR, PERFORMANCE COACH

Emma Starr is a recent graduate of George Mason University in Fairfax, VA. She played Division One soccer for 4 years and continued her career playing professionally in England for 6 months. She graduated University with a B.S.in Kinesiology and a minor in Psychology. She is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach with a love of soccer, running and training.
Louisiana born and raised, but you would not guess it with his love for climbing, mountain biking, running, backpacking, and other outdoor activities and adventure. But his road to fitness is not all that old. In his mid 20’s Cade worked long hours in engineering offices, doing nothing after work but watching tv. He soon realized he needed to make a change in his bad state of health when he was no longer able to even walk a flight of stairs without having to stop to breathe. Health and fitness had to be first. His journey first started with Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Not long after that he was introduced to his first crossfit gym. Four months later, after seeing clear results of the hard work in the gym, he became hooked on it. Getting to see others improve as well, in skills, health, increase in confidence are just a few of the reasons why he coaches today. As well as being able to cultivate a fun and friendly environment where everyone feels welcomed and develop friendships.
Cade was first introduced introduced into the adaptive athletic world by a seminar with Crossroads Adaptive Athletic Alliance ( http://crossroadsalliance.org/ ). The experience since then has inspired him to continually work towards helping those who come into the gym that have medical conditions like MS, have lost limbs or paralyzed, or even suffer from TBI, reach their goals they have in fitness. Weather it is being able to play with their kids, participating in a Spartan Race, or just to be able to have a gym you look forward to coming into every time.
